Our Story.

Vice President

As WNC natives—Brandy from Jonathan Creek and Jason from Sandymush — we consider ourselves blessed to call these mountains home. Brandy’s dad was a truck driver, and her stepfather and mother own a local custom cabinet shop, which introduced her to the contracting and building industry at a young age. Jason was raised on his family’s farm, which helped grow his strong work ethic, passion for heavy equipment, and big trucks. He daydreamed about owning his own business one day. Jason bought his first dump truck in his senior year of high school and fell in love with his work, which eventually turned into grading.

We don’t just move dirt We move projects forward.

In 2016, we founded Appalachian Sitework, Inc. The dream was to run a family-based company where we could be hands-on with the kids, teaching them the work ethic we were raised with, and develop a successful, fulfilling business.

What began as general trucking and preparation work has expanded into several niches, including commercial underground utilities, infrastructure, energy site construction, concrete services, hydrovacing, and site development. We are now an unlimited licensed, state-approved general contractor, and we love what we get to do every single day.

When we married, Jason said we would have cattle one day. So, in 2017, starting with only two Angus-cross heifers, we launched Appalachian Angus. The endeavor jumpstarted our boys’ stock show careers, and both have since shown locally and nationally and are members of the North Carolina Junior Angus Association, American Angus Association, 4-H, and FFA.

We are everyday people who believe in hard work, being a part of our community, and keeping faith at the center of everything we do. We haven’t paved this journey alone; we have been blessed with so many talented people to work with over the years. We will always continue to push forward, broaden our skill sets, and put in an honest day’s work!

With much love,

Jason and Brandy
