City of Asheville – Sulphur Springs Stormwater Rehabilitation

For the City of Asheville, ASI conducted a project that consisted of 18, 24 and 36 inch HDPE (high density polyethylene). We oversaw the construction of large box culverts, large diameter manholes, concrete curb and sidewalk, and erosion control. By completing these objectives, we had successfully created a system to capture stormwater and therefore prevent flooding in the city streets.

NCDOT – I-240 Sinkhole Repair Project

ASI had the exciting venture of repairing a sinkhole by I-240, near downtown Asheville. Active shoring was necessary for this project, because the interstate was dangerously close to the sinkhole. We had replaced the failing 48 inch RCP (reinforced concrete pipe) and large diameter manhole. This was a turnkey project from active shoring, replacing failing pipe, erosion control, and concrete replacement.

Haywood EMC – Substation Expansion

For this project, ASI constructed a 60 inch RCP (reinforced concrete pipe) to allow a new entrance to be formed. We installed all erosion control measures, performed all grading for substation expansion, and installed all ground grids and fences.

FB Timberline – Garner White Oak – Transformer Oil Containment

Kiewit – White Oak Duct Bank

ASI installed a new duct bank under I-40, near mile marker 19. This was a turnkey project, which involved traffic control and erosion control, as well as all the conduit, concrete and asphalt repair.

Duke Energy – Continued Maintenance

ASI ensured erosion control and access into rough trains to replace poles, as well as maintenance of the transmission lines. We are honored to have this as an ongoing maintenance program with Duke Energy.

Haywood County – Ranch Water System Installation

ASI conducted this project near the Cataloochee ski resort in Haywood County, NC. Here, we installed approximately 8,000 feet of fire and domestic water lines.
